Sunderland chasing Kevin Doyle
Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has been frantically preparing his transfer short list for the January transfer window, and it appears that Wolves striker Kevin Doyle is at the top of the list.
According to reports, Sunderland manager O'Neill is a huge fan of Doyle and could make a massive £10 million move for the striker in January.
Eyefootball exclusively revealed only last month that Newcastle were keen on the striker, and now there appears to be more rival interest from the Tyne.
Doyle is still a part of Wolves manager Mick Mccarthy's plans for the new year, but a substantial offer for the striker would be hard to refuse. In addition, Doyle is believed to be unhappy at recent time spent on the substitute's bench.
Sunderland manager O'Neill has gathered together a list of five names that he would like to bring to the Stadium of Light in January. With a transfer budget of around £25 million to spend, thanks to the confidence of club chairman Ellis Short, Doyle could be one of the first names to secure a move to the Black Cats.
