Man City closing in on Daniele de Rossi deal?

The Sun reports that Daniele De Rossi is moving a step closer to a move to Manchester City, suggesting that talks are already at an advanced stage between the two clubs; and the Italian midfielder will finally wrap up a 10m GBP move to the Etihad Stadium this month.

The 28 year old midfielder is a close friend of Man City manager Roberto Mancini, who recently said of the player: "De Rossi is a champion and would be the perfect man for City."


The Roma midfielder will be out of contract in the summer, and the Italian side are willing to part with the player now instead of risk losing him for free in the future.


According to the Sun, De Rossi's deal will be pushed through in January if Carlos Tevez is able to complete a permanent move away from the Etihad Stadium.
