Aston Villa linked with Danny Simpson bid

Aston Villa could make a surprise bid for Newcastle right back Danny Simpson. The full back is coming to the end of his current contract at St. James' Park, and the Villains are preparing a 2m GBP offer for the right back.

The 24 year old has been locked in discussions with manager Alan Pardew regarding a new deal for over four months; and this new rumour seems to indicate that Simpson will soon be on his way out of the club.


Aston Villa are also considering a player plus cash deal, with Stephen Ireland one name linked with a move in the other direction.
