Fulham desperate to keep Bobby Zamora
After Bobby Zamora's match-winning display against Arsenal yesterday, manager Martin Jol admitted that he would love to keep the England forward at Fulham. There have been suggestions that the striker would quit Craven Cottage in January.
There had been reports that Zamora had handed in a transfer request, but Jol quickly ruled out all talk of a January exit. Fulham hope to tie Zamora to a brand new contract.
"He has never asked me for a transfer request," Jol said. "You provoke players a bit, sometimes they provoke you, there are emotions involved.
"The only thing I want for him is to score goals and win games for us, and if he does that I love him."
