Sir Alex denies Lampard move

Sir Alex Ferguson has denied that he will make a move for Frank Lampard. The Manchester United manager will not move for the Chelsea midfielder, despite a high profile falling out with Andre Villas-Boas.

The United boss dismissed reports that the England international will move to Old Trafford.


"Do you really believe Chelsea will sell Lampard to Manchester United in January? There is no foundation to that," said Ferguson.


"They want to try and win the league, and they need to hang on to their best players."
