Demba Ba release clause just 5m GBP
Demba Ba release clause just 5m GBP
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has triggered a flurry of interest for Newcastle striker Demba Ba, after the animated Spurs boss revealed that the striker's minimum fee release clause is a lot less than the 10m originally quoted.
“I think you will find it is a lot less than that," said Redknapp, when asked about the supposed 10m GBP release clause in Ba's contract.
When Redknapp was asked about the release clause being 7m GBP, Redknapp responded: “Even less than that.”
Both quotes seem to suggest that Tottenham could be linked with a move for the striker who has been in stunning form this year in the Premier League, and currently is the second highest goalscorer after Robin Van Persie.
