Aston Villa would love permanent Keane deal

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish praised the performance of on loan Los Angeles Galaxy striker Robbie Keane against Wolves yesterday, and the Scotsman hopes the Irish international can continue to produce the goods for the remainder of his two month loan.
Keane scored two goals to helped the Villains to a 3-2 victory over city rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers yesterday, and his manager McLeish was full of praise for the player.
“People were skeptical when we brought him in but he’s paid his dues today with a magnificent performance. They were two great goals," Mcleish said.
"Robbie has done that throughout his career and it was no surprise to see him get on the scoresheet.”
