Manchester City deny move for Nir Biton

Manchester City have denied reports that they are set to sign FC Ashdod midfielder Nir Biton, despite claims from the player's agent that City have already submitted an offer for the player.

Biton, 20, is very highly rated in Israel and there had been talk from his home country that the Citizens were ready to bid 500,000 GBP for the player.


Dudu Dahan, the player's agent, said: "City say they can get a work permit for Nir as well, as there is a special category for outstanding prospects like him.


"I have been speaking with Mancini every day, since the trial, so how can I not be optimistic the transfer will be completed?"
