Wigan 3m offer for Adrian Mariappa rejected
Roberto Martinez's 3 million offer for Watford defender Adrian Mariappa has been rejected. According to reports, Wigan, Arsenal and Newcastle are all in the running for the 25 year old's signature.
With just 18 months remaining on his current contract at Vicarage Road, Watford are ready to sell the defender who has spent his whole career with the club at a reduced rate.
However, Watford will only consider offers greater than 4 million GBP for Mariappa, and it is understood that Wigan will make another bid before the transfer window slams shut this evening.
