Tottenham star van der Vaart confident for 5th
Tottenham attacking midfielder Rafael van der Vaart yesterday admitted that losing to North London rivals Arsenal 5-2 last weekend is a bitter blow to Spurs' hopes to finish 3rd in the league, but the Dutchman is sure they will finish ahead of their biggest rivals.
Tottenham host Manchester United in today's big Premier League game at White Hart Lane, and van der Vaart is eyeing a winning return to form.
“For the fans and for us as players, losing against Arsenal always hurts – but we are still third," said van der Vaart.
“We’re still seven points ahead of them so we’re not worried. It won’t be difficult to lift ourselves. We’ve the mental strength to put this behind us.”
