Ribery backs Bayern move for Olivier Giroud
Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has backed his club's pursuit of Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud. The French international striker has burst onto the scene in Ligue 1 this year with several impressive performances, and he currently is the league top scorer.
Liverpool, Marseille and Inter Milan have all been monitoring the French striker in action, but Bayern Munich are believed to have already made an enquiry about the forward's availability in the summer transfer window.
His international team mate Ribery has backed the player to make a step up and move to a bigger club.
"Olivier is very good at his job", said Ribery.
"He is a great striker, with good shooting skills and good feet. I believe he could play for a big club."
