Arsenal grabbed another three points to stay at the top of the league. The goals came from Kolo Toure and Tomas Rosicky. Both goals came in the second half and Arsenal have further consolidated their position at the top of the league.

It was a further misery for the manager-less Bolton, which saw Archie Knox taking charge for the moment, as they remain in the relegation zone.

Gunners without their leading goal scorer Robin Van Persie started with Da Silva Eduardo upfront while French striker Nicholas Anelka was missing for Trotters.

The play which was mostly confined to the midfield saw rough challenges from either side and it looked that either team would be reduced to ten men at any point of time.

Arsenal had only one decent attempt at the rival goal, in the 42nd minute Eduardo teasing cross saw unmarked Adebayor`s header miss the target narrowly.

Arsenal finally took the lead in the 68th minute, centre back Kolo Toure`s 25-yard free kick finding the far corner of the nets as keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen was blocked with the wall in front of him.

In the 79th minute, Spanish international Csec Fabregas intelligent defence-splitting pass found Emmanuel Adebayor, who got pass the keeper but lost his footings at the crucial junction and the chance went abegging.

Arsenal consolidated their lead in the 80th minute from a beautiful combination between substitutes Rosicky and Theo Walcott.

Walcott using his pace on the right side cleverly outsmarted Bolton defense and sent a low cross where on rushing Rosicky flicked the ball past the outstretched hands of the keeper.
