Southampton make bid for Jay Rodriguez

Southampton have had an offer accepted for Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez. The Saints will pay £7 million for the Burnley striker. The 22-year-old scored 15 goals in the Championship last year.
Backed by the wealthy Liebherr family, Southampton owners are preparing a massive £25 million transfer kitty for this summer, and are set to spend some of that on the Burnley striker.
Rodriguez had been persistently linked with a move away from the Clarets, but his price tag put off the likes of Aston Villa and West Ham. Instead, Southampton appear to have won the race for his coveted signature.
