Denilson to quit Arsenal for Sao Paulo move
Arsenal midfielder Denilson will quit the club permanently for a move to Sao Paulo. The Brazilian has endured a difficult time at the Emirates over the past two years, and now looks set to complete a permanent deal back to his homeland.
The Gunners are holding out for a fee believed to be around $2.8m USD.
“I believe we’ll reach an agreement with Arsenal,” Sao Paulo vice-president Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes told UOL.
“We have heard from Denilson that he doesn’t want to return to England, that he wants to stay here with us.
“I think our relations with Arsenal will help that to happen.”
