Sunderland ready to sign Tim Cahill?
Sunderland have made an offer to New York Red Bulls' midfielder Tim Cahill for a two month loan move to the Stadium of Light. Cahill moved to the MLS from Everton last summer.
Cahill enjoyed many a successful year in the Premier League and has hinted last week that he would be happy to make a surprise return to England in the January transfer window.
The MLS is currently off season now, and several American stars have been linked with moves to England. One of those is the Aussie international, and a two month loan deal has been suggested.
Over the past few years, a number of successful loan spells have seen former greats return to the Premiership; inclusive of Arsenal striker Thierry Henry and Everton signing Landon Donovan on loan twice.
