Guardiola to sign for Bayern Munich

Former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola will officially be appointed as manager of Bayern Munich at the end of the season. The Spaniard will end his self imposed soccer exile and return to footballing duties in July.
Bayern Munich have won the race to sign the coveted manager, who had been linked with both Chelsea and Arsenal moves. However, the Spaniard has officially agreed to join Bayern at the end of the season.
Jupp Heynckes, the current coach, has already decided that he will retire from football at the end of the season.
"We are very pleased that we have managed to convince the football expert Pep Guardiola, who was coveted and contacted by many top clubs, to come to Bayern Munich," Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said.
"He is one of the most successful coaches in the world and we are sure that he can make not just Bayern, but all of German football shine."
