Juventus seal move for Llorente

Juventus have agreed a move for Spain international striker Fernando Llorente from Athletic Bilbao. The 27-year-old had been linked with a move to England, but instead opted for a move to Serie A.

Llorente had been a revelation in past season for Bilbao, and a host of top clubs were in for his signature. However, the Basque forward has decided that Juventus will be the best next stop for his career.


"Juventus can confirm that Spanish international striker Fernando Llorente will join the club on 1 July 2013," read a statement on the club website.

"The 27-year-old has agreed terms on a four-year deal and will move to Turin when his Athletic Bilbao contract expires at the end of the current season."
