Benoit Assou-Ekotto to join Sunderland?

Tottenham defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto has fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane, and according to reports Sunderland are amongst the teams interested in the French full-back's services.

Assou-Ekotto had been an almost ever-present last year at WHL, but this year has fallen down the pecking order.


Spurs' manager Andre Villas-Boas has told colleagues that his top priority in the transfer window this summer is to secure a new left back.
