Vincent Kompany to stay at Manchester City
Vincent Kompany will not quit Man City at the end of the year. There had been speculation that the defender would leave the club as bitter rivals United pipped City to the Premier League title.
But the Belgian defender has no plans to quit the Etihad Stadium yet and plans to stay for the long term.
"I am happy here, I have five years left and if you knew the plans for this team for the future... I consider that to be a real objective," said Kompany.
"We are already preparing for next season and, if Samir can keep up this level of performance, we will really have an exceptional player."
