Napoli appoint Rafa Benitez

Napoli have appointed Rafa Benitez as their new manager. The former Liverpool and Chelsea boss takes charge of the Italian club for the new season, having just guided the Stamford Bridge side to the Europa League title.

"Rafa Benitez is the new coach of Napoli," said club supremo Aurelio De Laurentiis.


"A man of great international experience. A leader."


Benitez taking charge of Napoli is sure to disappoint many in England, after Stoke and Everton were both linked with the Spaniard.
