Wanyama surprised by talk of Southampton move

Kenya international Victor Wanyama has no idea why reports written suggest that he will be moving to Southampton this summer. The Celtic man is currently on holiday and has no idea what his agent is discussing with the Scottish club.

Reports that Southampton and Celtic have already agreed a 12.5 million fee appear to be wide of the mark.


"I am currently enjoying my deserved holiday," said the defensive midfielder.

"I have just heard of the same interest in the media and currently I am on holiday enjoying myself. I will speak to my agent later to find out the true position.

"I don’t think it will be appropriate for me to speak about something I am not aware about. My agent knows everything that is happening and he has not contacted me so for now I want to enjoy my holiday."
