Higuain's father confirms Arsenal offer
The father of Gonzalo Higuain, Jorge, has confirmed that Arsenal have made an offer to Real Madrid for the Argentina international striker. The player has already confirmed that he will leave Real this summer, leaving both Arsenal and Juventus in the race to land his coveted signature.
Real Madrid are ready to let the player leave if a team can match the reported asking price of 25 million Euros, the Gunners are some way short of that price in their initial offers, with Arsene Wenger only prepared to make a bid of around 18 million Euros.
"Nothing has been signed yet but I can assure you there are advanced talks between the clubs," said Jorge Higuain of Arsenal's interest.
"We wouldn’t arrange any personal contract before the clubs agree for the transfer. I’m aware Arsenal has made a strong offer, as well as Juventus."
