Chelsea's bid for Marco Van Ginkel uncertain

Chelsea's bid for Marco Van Ginkel uncertain

Chelsea’s ambitious bid to land young Dutch starlet Marco van Ginkel still hangs in limbo, after his agent disclosed that nothing decisive has been drawn up.

Speaking to Standard Sports, Van Ginkel’s agent Karel Jansen said, “Nothing is sure. There is interest but it is not the time for all parties to say something about it. A lot of things are being said and written and it’s a bit chaotic. From our side we are just keeping quiet and we will see what happens.”

Jansen also further denied quotes attached to him in the past which expressed a positive comprehension between Van Ginkel and the new Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

Sources report that Van Ginkel’s current club Vitesse Arnhem’s are in demand of £15 million fee and have already rejected an £8 million bid by the Stamford Bridge club..

Van Ginkel is regardes to be the big thing from Holland. The 20-year-old midfielder has already accumulated 12 goals in 41 appearances for Vitesse last season. His exploits on the field has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.

But its all stale-mate for the moment and Van Ginkel’s current team mate Theo Janssen has weighed in, in favour of the Blues, “If he thinks he’s ready for the next step, then he must do it. I think he is ready but the step to Chelsea is very big. It’s the plan that he’ll join the Chelsea squad, learn a lot and play on a regular basis. It all looks very positive but he must make his own decision. I told him that opportunities like this don’t come that often and, if you get a chance like this, then you must do it.”
