Norwich to sign Nick Powell on loan from Man Utd

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has contacted new Manchester United manager David Moyes regarding a potential loan move for highly rated midfielder Nick Powell. The teenager has yet to force his way into United's first team plans.

The England under-21 international played in six games for United last season, 2 in the league - where he also scored his first Premier League goal - and a further six in cup competition.


The former Crewe Alexandra prospect is eagerly waiting for a chance to regularly play in the Premier League, but admits it is unlikely that will be possible at Old Trafford for the season ahead.


Norwich have offered to pay the full amount of Powell's salary for the whole duration that the youngster will spend at Carrow Road.
