Chelsea eyeing move for Burak Yilmaz
Chelsea's new manager Jose Mourinho has recently expressed his interest for Galatasaray’s Turkish International Burak Yilmaz. Mourinho was impressed with Yilmaz's's performance during the first leg of last year's Champion League despite his side being thrashed by the La Liga giants, whilst giving rise to speculation that the Blues might be following the 27 year old closely.
The Portuguese tactician was quoted in The Metro, saying: “Burak could play for any team in the world. He is world class.”
While on the other hand, Galatasaray President Unal Aysal was reported insisting that the club might accept the sale of their scintillating striker who notched up 32 goals in 39 appearances last season, if a suitable offer is put up. He said: “We have set a price for Burak Yilmaz, we will only consider an offer which is in the best interests of the club and player. If Burak wants to leave and our transfer demands are matched we could accept a deal.”
The Stamford Bridge side would have to give out a fee of atleast £20m for Yilmaz, who has himself expressed his desire to play in the English Premier league and would prove to be a strong and powerful component to add to the West Londoners squad.
