Fulham join race for Yevhen Konoplyanka
Fulham manager Martin Jol is in contact with Ukrainian side Dnipro regarding a transfer move for Ukrainian international winger Yevhen Konoplyanka. The 23-year-old could join the Cottagers on loan next season with a view to a permanent move.
The Dnipro number 10 has attracted the interest of numerous Premier League teams including Southampton, but Fulham are the team believed to be closest to sealing a deal for the 5 foot 9 star.
The player, who has been capped over 20 times by his country, has spent his entire career playing for Dnipro. Since making his first team debut back in 2007, the midfielder has impressed and improved every year he is given more first team opportunity.
Shakhtar Donetsk are also believed to be interested in the player, as they look for a long term replacement for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who this week joined German giants Borussia Dortmund.
