Leroy Fer completes Norwich City move
Norwich have completed a deal for Dutch midfielder Leroy Fer. The 23-year-old has signed a four year contract at Carrow Road. Fer had been linked with a move to Everton in January, but he then failed a medical.
There were no further complications this time around for Fer, as he met with Norwich's medical staff and manager Chris Hughton at Carrow Road on Saturday morning and then had a near perfect medical.
The FC Twente starlet joins fellow Dutchman Ricky van Wolfswinkel at Carrow Road as the club prepare for a major rebuilding project this summer.
Norwich confirmed the deal on their Twitter page during the afternoon: "City can confirm Dutch international midfielder Leroy Fer has joined from FC Twente on a 4-year deal, subject to international clearance."
It is understood that an estimated £7 million has been paid to FC Twente to secure Fer's signing.
