Tottenham Target Joel Pohjanpalo

It has been suggested by several media reports that Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is the latest addition to the list of suitors for the Finnish striker Joel Pohjanpalo.

Pohjanpalo was earlier invited by Liverpool to train with their youth team but the player decided to stay with his home club. The 18-year-old made big news after scoring a hat-trick in just three minutes on his debut.


Tottenham are reportedly the favourites to land the starlet, despite the fact that Pohjanpalo has already held talks with Liverpool and Monaco. The highly-rated youngster has also spent a week with Liverpool just over a year ago but the Spurs are still believed to be leading the race for his sign.


AVB is looking to place an initial bid of £1m for the young striker, as he is keen on signing a skilled player for the attacking division of his team. Reports suggest that the deal could be completed within the next week.
