Fiorentina Holds Talks With Verratti's Agent

Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade held talks with the agent of PSG player Marco Verratti. Prade reportedly discussed Verratti’s possible move to the Viola with his agent on Thursday.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the two sides met yesterday to discuss a transfer for the starlet. Although no official offers were made, it is believed that the representatives decided to meet again in the near future to continue talks.


It has been reported that Fiorentina coach, Vincenzo Montella, is a huge admirer of the 20-year-old and is pushing hard to sign the talented midfielder this summer.


Verratti played a major role in the club’s Ligue 1 winning campaign. He joined PSG last year for a fee of €12 million plus bonuses. He made 27 league appearances for the French giants.


Fiorentina would be hoping to wrap up the deals of Stevan Jovetic and Adem Ljajic prior to making an offer for the PSG starlet, so that they have sufficient funds to support their bid.
