Everton may sign in Jan

Everton boss David Moyes has said that he may attempt to sign players in January if the time is right. The Toffees are ninth in the Premiership at this stage and are also in the UEFA Cup and Carling Cup contests with FA Cup to look forward to in the New Year.

"We may well look to strengthen the squad in January, if the right players are available," said Moyes on skysports.com.

"We will assess that at the time and see what we can do. In the past it may well have been loan deals for us at this time of year, but a lot will depend on where we are and how things are going.

"That will play a part. But I have not been told that there will not be money to spend in January."
