MLS side Seattle Sounders keen on Dempsey

Major League Soccer club Seattle Sounders are being linked with a move for Tottenham forward Clint Dempsey this summer.

The 30 year old USA international has been rumored to be on his way back to MLS this summer with Seattle Sounders believed to be his likeliest destination.


Dempsey joined Spurs last summer from Fulham on a three year contract and has been featuring regularly for Andre Villas Boas' side. He made 27 appearances last term scoring 7 goals in the process.


However, with the signings of Paulinho,Nacer Chaldi and more recently Roberto Soldado, it is believed that Dempsey no longer features in the manager's plans for next season.


"We're always interested in good players first off," Schmid told Sports Radio KJR.


"Right now, there's really nothing to it, there's nothing to say. But we are in a position to add a Designated Player to our team before August 8th.
