Everton set to make a bid for Toby Anderweireld?

The Toffess boss Roberto Martinez is preparing to make a bid in the region of £6m for Ajax defender Toby Anderweireld, according to reports in the Netherlands.

The 24-year-old has caught the eye of several Premier League clubs with his performances for the Eredivisie side last season and has been linked with a move away from the Amsterdam outfit.


Everton's new manager Roberto Martinez has sent out scouts to watch the Belgium International in the Dutch Super Cup, as he prepares to make a £6m move for the player.


However, the Merseyside club may require to sell their Dutch International John Heitinga before the transfer takes place in order to accumulate enough funds to acquire the services of Anderweireld, reports the People.
