Marouane Chamakh nears Crystal Palace move

Morocco international striker Marouane Chamakh will complete a move from Arsenal to Premier League rivals Crystal Palace within 48 hours. The forward will move to Ian Holloway's side on a season long loan deal.
Arsenal were desperate to get Chamakh off of the wage bill for the coming season and thus are paying half of the former Bordeaux striker's salary during the loan period move to Palace.
Chamakh has struggled to reproduce the form that made him a hero at French club Bordeaux, where he also won the French Ligue 1 title. Arsenal have been trying to sell the player for over two years; and it appears that Ian Holloway will turn to Chamakh to lead his line for the coming new season.
