Moyes praises Vaughan
Moyes praises Vaughan
David Moyes has moved to praise young Everton striker James Vaughan after a number of impressive displays after returning from his injury nightmare. The young English striker scored the third goal for Everton as they defeated Birmingham 3-1 at the weekend.
The Premiershipâs youngest ever goal scorer who netted in his first goal when he was just 16 years old, has won the favour of the Toffees manager, who feels that the 19-year old will soon be a terror to the opposition defences.
âI think James is good enough to force his way in to the starting line up and stay there,â said Moyes on the club's official website.
âThere wonât be many centre-halves who will look forward to playing against James Vaughan when we get him in the condition he should be in.
âHe just needs games now, but there is no doubting he his going to be a really good player for us.
âHe is as game as anybody Iâve known and from that point of view heâs a big asset to Everton.â
He continued: âHe wonât shirk anything. Heâll do as much work as he can. Heâll battle with everyone. He is a different type of centre forward to the others weâve got.
âHe wants it badly and in this day and age itâs something we love to see. He is so desperate to play and heâs a bit of a throwback in that respect.
âHeâs a very conscientious boy and because of that heâll continue to improve.
âThereâs technical stuff he needs to work on, because heâs missed a good part of his early development through injury, but work-rate and enthusiasm is never a problem.â
