West Ham complete Stewart Downing deal
West Ham have completed a move for Stewart Downing. The left winger arrives at Upton Park on a £5 million transfer. The player put pen to paper on a four year contract.
Initially struggling to adapt to life at Anfield, the midfielder had a late spell of form last season and the 29-year-old attracted the interest of West Ham and Newcastle this summer.
After completing a deal, Downing said: "I'm very excited. It's a great opportunity for me being here, it's a great club and I'm really excited to get going.
"I've played a decent few games for Liverpool in pre-season, so there will be no problems on that front."
