Tottenham in talks over move for Erik Lamela

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly started talks with Serie A outfit As Roma over a move for their talented winger Erik Lamela.

The North London club are understood to have placed the 21-year-old Argentine International at the top of their transfer shortlist regardless of whether Gareth Bale joins the La Liga champions Real Madrid.

According to Goal.com, Spurs officials are now in preliminary talks with the Serie A side over a posible switch for the player.

Erik Lamela joined As Roma from Argentine club River Plate during the 2011 summer transfer window for a fee of £10m.
