Olivier Giroud insists Arsenal need an extra striker
Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud has insisted that the Gunners need to buy another striker before the conclusion of the summer transfer window.
The North London outfit are currently struggling to have a number of top players in Wilshere, Ramsey, Sagna and Gibbs to be fit for the first leg of their Champions League play-off having slumped to a disastrous 3-1 defeat at home to Astonvilla.
Giroud was quoted saying in Goal: "In my opinion, it is important that the club sign another striker but it takes time, especially if it is a big-name player.
"I know what my job is and what I'm capable of. I just focus on myself and my ability. The manager is counting on me so I'm not thinking about [new signings] too much."
