Liverpool closing in on Will Hughes transfer?

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will make a formal offer for Derby County's midfielder Will Hughes. The talented youngster has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League but Liverpool are believed to be in pole position to secure his coveted signing.

The 18-year-old has enjoyed much media fanfare since bursting onto the scene 18 months ago in Derby County's first team. The youngster has also attracted the interest of scouts from Manchester United as well as Chelsea.


It is understood that a bid of £6million will persuade Liverpool to make a quick sale. Stoke City were also in the race to land the youngster but were unable to match Derby's valuation.
