Chelsea rule out Benteke transfer move

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has ruled out a move for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke. The Belgian forward had been linked with a move to the Blues after scoring two Premier League goals in two games already.

However, Mourinho has now told reporters that there will be no move for the burly frontman.


"He is a great player, but he is a great player for a certain style of football," said Mourinho. "We try to play a different style of football.


"We try to play the way we train every day, but the good thing from my team today is that Villa gave us a different match and we coped with that.


"They have a special player with special qualities [and] they use him. Benteke is fantastic in the first phase and they play well from Benteke with the counter-attack."
