Willian still considering Tottenham offer

Brazil midfielder Willian is reportedly discussing personal terms with Tottenham Hotspurs after successfully compelting his medical at the London club according to Sky Sports.

The 25 year old Anzhi star was transfer listed by the club after billionaire owner decided to offload high earning players this summer following a disappointing domestic campaign.

Tottenham manager Andre Villas Boas has been vocal about his desire to sign the highly rated playmaker and it seems like Tottenham are edging closer to securing his services.

Willian would become Tottenham's record transfer signing this summer after having broken the club record twice already in the ongoing transfer window. After signing Paulinho for £17million and paying £26 million to Valencia for the signature of Roberto Soldado, Willian is set to complete Villas Boas' transfer activity this summer.

Former Anzhi manager Rene Meulensteen has backed Spurs chase for Willian and is confident of the player's success in the Premier League.

"I've worked with him for a short time but I really, really like him. He will be an asset for whoever's going to get him," said Meulensteen on Sky Sports News.

"If it's Spurs that's going to get him, they'll get an excellent player. He's very versatile, he can play in different positions, he's a very creative player and an excellent professional with a very good personality."
