Fulham undecided over Diarra future
Former Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra is currently without a club after being released by Fulham earlier this summer and manager Martin Jol wants to assess his fitness before offering him fresh terms.
The 32 year old moved to Craven Cottage last summer and was regular starter until he picked up an injury in December last year which forced him to the sidelines for the remainder of the season.
Martin Jol is yet undecided over Diarra and wants to take his time before taking a call on whether to offer him a new contract. The former Los Blancos enforcer is training with the Cottagers and is likely to do so for the next four weeks before Jol makes his mind up.
"He is doing a lot of ball work and the warm-ups with us," the Dutch coach told the Fulham Chronicle of the veteran midfielder.
"He needs another three or four weeks before playing games with us or the reserves and then we will make a decision on him."
