Nicolas Anelka to resume training with the Baggies

West Bromwich Albion have announced that Nicolas Anelka will resume his training with the squad ahead of the Premier League encounter with Swansea City this weekend.
The former French International was granted compassionate leave following the death of his long-time agent and close friend, Eric Manasse.
Reports had earlier suggested that the 34-year-old would retire from professional football following his agent's death, but the Baggies manager Steve Clarke has managed to convince the former Arsenal and Chelsea star to return to the Hawthorns.
A statement from the club read : "Albion can confirm that Nicolas Anelka will resume first-team training and be available for selection for Sunday's game against Swansea," read a statement from the club.
"The striker was excused from club duty for the fixtures against Everton and Newport on compassionate grounds and, having met with head coach Steve Clarke, he will rejoin his team-mates."
