Former Arsenal forward Jay Simpson rejects move to Gaziantepspor
Former Arsenal forward Jay Simpson has turned down a switch to Turkish club Gaziantepspor, as per Sky Sports.
Simpson is currently a free agent following his release from Hull City Tigers this summer. The 24-year-old was reportedly close to sealing a two year deal with Gaziantepspor until talks fell through.
He has now returned to England to consider his options, as a number of foreign clubs are currently interested in acquiring his services.
Simpson's agent Leon Callander told Sky Sports News : "The interest in Jay is high.
"He does like the idea of playing abroad, and that is why we had the talks in Turkey, but things were not quite right.
"We will be assessing the options over the coming days and see what is best for him."
Simpson made 86 first-team appearances for the Tigers since his move from Arsenal in 2010.
