Aston Villa back in for Ivelin Popov transfer
Aston Villa back in for Ivelin Popov transfer
Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert wants to sign Bulgarian international midfielder Ivelin Popov in the January transfer window. The Scottish manager is hopeful a deal can be agreed for the 25-year-old.
Popov's current club, Kuban, have demanded a reported 10 million Euros transfer fee for the player but Aston Villa are only willing to bid 8 million. Kuban are seriously considering the offer as Popov is desperate to move to the Premier League.
Popov joined Kuban in 2012 and has since scored 12 goals in 36 games in Russia.
