Fernando Torres wants to be first choice at Chelsea
Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has insisted that he wants to have more opportunities in the Premier League following his impressive display in the 2-0 win over Swindon Town on Tuesday.
Torres opened the scoring and set up Ramires for the second as the West London side cruised to the fourth round of the Capital One cup.
Though Samuel Eto'o has been favoured by manager Jose Mournho since the start of the season, Torres believes that his display against Swindon could earn him a place in the starting line up against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
He told Sky Sports: "Hopefully I will have more opportunities to play in the Premier League. The season is long and we have time to play important games.
"We will all be involved. We are in the manager's plans. We have 25 players squad in the squad and it is difficult to play in this great team."
