Chelsea's Juan Mata eager to prove his worth to Jose Mourinho

Chelsea's attaking midfielder Juan Mata is determined to prove his value to the Blues' manager Jose Mourinho, after falling out of favour at the club.

The talented Spanish playmaker spoke to Sky Sports following his appearance as a substitute in the match against Tottenham, where he provided a crucial assist which led to a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane.


The Spaniard told Sky Sports: "We needed to improve and we tried to, and when I came on I just tried to give my best for the team. It is what I did since I came and it is what I am going to do until the end."
