Tottenham Hotspur closing in on Keisuke Honda's signature
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda during the January transfer window, according to the Metro.
The talented Japanese midfielder has been regarded as a tactically gifted technician since his switch to the Russian giants, and is reportedly eager to make a switch to the Premier League as he wants to prove himself at the biggest stage.
Honda has been linked with a number of other Premier League clubs in Arsenal and Liverpool, but Spurs look to have beaten off the competition to acquire the player's services.
With manager Andre Villas-Boas having funds in the bank, he would be happy enough to lure the talented Japanese play-maker to White Hart Lane come the winter transfer window in January.
