Manchester City chasing Brahim Abdelkader

Manchester City are reportedly set to battle with La Liga giants Barcelona for the signing of highly-rated Malaga wonderkid Brahim Abdelkader.

The 14-year-old starlet who has been compared to the likes of Lionel Messi, is widely considered as one of the best youth attacking prospects in the footballing world. 

Barcelona are keen to acquire the player's signature and have offered a transfer fee in the region of £2.5m for his services, but the Daily Mail claims that the Manchester City are monitoring the progress of the player with a view of making a January transfer bid for the youngster.

Brahim Abdelkader has the same agent as Liverpool forward Luis Suarez.
