Gaston Ramirez linked with Galatasaray switch

Galatasaray are considering making a move for Southampton midfielder Gaston Ramirez during the winter transfer window. 

The talented Uruguayan International has failed to live up to his £12m price tag since joining the Saints from Bologna last year, and is expected to leave the club in January having only featured in four games for the Premier League club under manager Mauricio Pochettino this season. 

Ramirez has attracted interest from the likes of Inter Milan and Napoli in recent weeks, but according to Turkish newspaper Sabah, Galatasaray have emerged as favourites to sign the player for a transfer fee in the region of £9m.

Ramires is yet to start for the Saints in a Premier League match this season.
