Everton to make January swoop for John Souttar

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is ready to make a January bid of £1m for Dundee United centre-half John Souttar.

The talented 17-year-old centre-half was scouted by Kevin Reeves during Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Scottish Premier League leaders Celtic. 

Everton are considered favourites to lure the talented defender to Goodison Park during the New Year, ahead of the likes of Sunderland and Queens Park Rangers.

Dundee United could agree to sell the player, with the option of keeping him on loan till the end of the current season.
